Glock Gen 4 21 - These include the Glock Model 20 10mm and Glock Model 21.45 ACP pistols. Introduced in 1990, the Model 21 .45 ACP competes with other large-caliber pistols in police service. Americans want to hit more defenses, and my opinion on this is that Americans are squared away.
The pistol was popular. Good reliability and accuracy are good selling points. Another strength is that the magazine holds 13 rounds of .45 ACP, giving the pistol a total capacity of 14.

The downside of the pistol is its size. Female shooters with small hands and long fingers generally do well with the Glock 21, although training and familiarity with the model are important. Due to the polymer frame the pistol is large but light enough.
Do Glocks Have Safeties?
Looking at the whole picture, the Glock offers considerable firepower in a light package. For example, an original Colt Government Model 1911 in the same caliber weighs 39 ounces. The current service pistol is the 9mm Beretta 92, which weighs 35 ounces and holds 15 rounds of low-yield 9mm cartridge.
Another advantage of the Glock is simplicity. The safety-action design only offers a single trigger action, compared to a double-action, first-fire pistol that requires you to learn both double-action fire and single-action fire. No manual safety.
The lever on the trigger is not a real safety. This is a drop safety designed to prevent inertia of the trigger from moving if the pistol is dropped. When tightening the slide, the Glock's safety action trigger cocks as the trigger moves forward under pressure. At this point the attacker or shot is partially blocked. As the trigger continues to be pulled, the striker retracts, breaks against the spring pressure, flies forward, and fires the pistol. After the slide is retracted, the action is partially preloaded and the pistol may be fired with another short pull.
The Glock's action safety is reliable in action and offers a trigger that is easy to learn quickly. While there is no manual safety, the real safety is between the ears, and the Glock shooter must know not to move his fingers until he is ready to fire.

The Glock Model 21 is as reliable as any other Glock pistol, which means reliability is at a premium. Compared to other .45 ACP pistols, the Glock Model 21 has an emotional recoil. Despite its light weight, the polymer frame offers little rebound, and the large handle spreads over the palm repeatedly. The Glock Model 21 is one of the lightest recoilless pistols in .45 ACP caliber.
Combined with a smaller bore than most, the result is a pistol that is both controllable and accurate to fire. The Glock Model 21 is also one of the most accurate Glock pistols. Some Glock models aren't known for good accuracy, and the Model 21 often delivers excellent results.
As with all quality handguns, the Glock Model 21 performs fairly well with a variety of ammunition, but accuracy is often high for a service-grade pistol. Cyclic reliability is good with all types of ammo. P-level + ammo is not recommended for several reasons.
Most people recognize the pistol as one of the first Glock Model 21s. The new version has a fingerprint. The latest pistol has interchangeable stocks and is more accurate than the original.

The same old model 21 is still serviceable. I recommend looking for new ads. I've never seen a bad M21, the newer ones are better.
When testing the Glock Model 21 used in this feature, I mounted it in a Don Hume service-grade slingshot. It's a great design that balances speed and durability very well.
The Glock pistol shown has fired thousands of rounds in its lifetime. For the purposes of this review, I fired it up with a variety of service-level Volkswagens.
